Abstract

Health is an essential good for individuals, and its quality is directly linked to access to effective health services. A healthy society positively impacts a country's economy, making the promotion of well-being fundamental. This study addresses the benefits of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the healthcare sector, highlighting how this IoT technology in healthcare contributes to improving medical outcomes and patients' quality of life. The methodology adopted is qualitative exploratory research, with bibliographical research. IoT, with its smart devices, has proven to be relevant in medicine, reducing costs with equipment and resources, as well as increasing the efficiency of treatments. Products such as pressure gauges, pacemakers and infusion pumps are already widely used, optimizing hospital logistics and allowing automated data analysis. Connected devices generate large volumes of data in real time, offering a promising future for healthcare services.
