Development of a Support System for Account Closure at Parceiros 360 – Consultores de Gestão

Internal control in organizations is a method of great importance through which it is possible to transmit reliability and security. Failures in internal control can jeopardize the achievement of objectives and the quality of the financial information produced. It is therefore crucial to implement IT systems to support internal control. The aim of this article was to develop and implement a Microsoft Excel solution to help fill in a set of data to support the internal control of clients of Parceiros 360 - Consultores de Gestão, since the information systems currently on the market do not offer the validation and confirmation of balances in the trial balance, item by item, which is essential to support internal control processes. For the study, a requirements specification was carried out using a survey as the data collection technique and an interview script as the instrument. Document analysis and the structured grid tool were used to analyze existing tools on the market and check whether they met the requirements. To validate the tool, observation and a survey were used, using field notes and a usability questionnaire. The solution implemented is an asset, as it solves the existing problem at Parceiros 360. The mechanisms and processes are now autonomous and optimized for all employees, making the information more accurate.
