Our purpose in this work was to study the main factors for (un)success in the professional career of civil servants. A study carried out at the Polytechnic Superior Institute of Ndalatando, where we used quantitative research, whose Deductive method, for data collection, used the Survey by test. Therefore, according to the research, it was revealed to us that there is a larger workforce of young people, with time of work activity superior to three years, with constant performance evaluation process, but that is not reflected in their promotion, the Institute to promote the mobility of employees to other areas, which conditions the mastery of tasks, adaptation and professional performance, the quality of work and the consolidation of knowledge, stagnation in an occupational category of the same career for many years, is also one of the factors that conditioned success in the professional career of employees, staff turnover likewise conditioned success and led to poor adaptation in professional performance which is the fulfillment of entrusted tasks, the majority never benefited from any training, which demonstrates that there is a minority in thus taking advantage of a very high number of employees who are not qualified for the profession.
