The relevance of Equity Research in making investment decisions in shares – An approach to the Angolan securities market. Case study: Banco Angolano de Investimento 2019 - 2021

The present work has as its theme “The relevance of equity research in the decision making of investment in equities”, during a three-year period. It highlights the contribution of equity research as a means of information for the decision-making process and also presents the steps for analyzing it in a given period and the various techniques for analyzing it and extracting the information contained in reports and accounts. The objective of the work is to analyze the relevance of equity research in the decision making of investments in shares in the Angolan securities market, in the period under analysis. Initially, a bibliographical research was carried out emphasizing the history of the analysis and important aspects so that one can learn more about equity research, as well as instruments for equity research in the decision-making process of investing in shares of the company in question and demonstrated in tables and figures to facilitate the understanding of the data. Taking into account the results of the calculations from the point of view of assets, market and income that reflect about all the exposed in this work, it was possible to verify that the company presents a positive net result during the period under analysis, demonstrating that it has a stable financial situation and able to distribute dividends to shareholders. We use, as methodological resources, a positivist interpretative paradigm based on quantitative and quantitative applied research, having bibliographical and documentary methodology as a dimension of the research process. In the end, it was concluded that the study made it possible to understand the relevance of equity research in making decisions about investing in shares.
