Abstract

This study was carried out on 242 Angolan university teachers (from the public and private sectors). The relationships between job satisfaction with its dimensions (Regulation Satisfaction, Achievement Satisfaction, Personal Satisfaction) and organizational commitment (Affective, Calculated and Normative) were analyzed with the aim of statistically determining the prediction of job satisfaction. (its dimensions) on the dimensions of organizational commitment. To collect data, we distributed 400 questionnaires (paper version) of which 242, or 60.5%, were returned to us. And for data analysis, we used the structural equation model using the software "Statistical Package for social sciences (SPSS) 15.0 and AMOS. According to the results obtained, we observed the positive influence of dimensions of job satisfaction on the dimensions of organizational commitment (affective dimensions, calculated dimension and the normative dimension). Regulation satisfaction positively influences normative commitment in the establishment stage (.229*), in the Routine stage (.226*). Achievement satisfaction on affective commitment in the establishment stage (.361*) e in the Routine step (.134*). Achievement satisfaction on commitment calculated in the establishment stage (.436***) and in the routine stage (.224*). Achievement satisfaction on normative commitment in the establishment stage (.578***). In general, we noted that the dimensions of job satisfaction are predictors of organizational commitment.
