It is with great satisfaction that we present Volume 1, Number 7 of ALBA - ISFIC Research and Science Journal. This special edition is a direct reflection of a highly important academic event: the VI International Symposium on Economics and Management of RIAL (Rede Internacional Académica da Lusofonia - International Academic Network of Lusophony). Successfully held from June 25 to 28, 2024, at the welcoming and dynamic Federal Institute of Paraná, Foz do Iguaçu Campus, the symposium was a genuine incubator of ideas and constructive discussions.

With the motto "For an integrated, innovative, and sustainable development-oriented higher education for communities" – the symposium permeated all discussions and inspired the 30 articles that make up this issue. This motto wasn't just a statement of principles; it was a call to action. It highlights our conviction that higher education holds a central role in shaping citizens and professionals capable of facing the challenges of the 21st century, promoting innovation and sustainable development in their communities...
